On October 14, 2016, the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs sponsored a Mental Health Summit in conjunction with its Veteran Stakeholders and Business Symposium. Hosted by WDVA Secretary John Scocos, the event provided a particular focus on veterans mental health issues together with anti-suicide training and information to attendees. MG (Ret.) Mark Graham of Vets 4 Warriors served as the Mental Health Summit's keynote speaker, sharing not only his family's personal tragedy that led to his interest in providing services and support for struggling vets, but also the successes that Vets 4 Warriors has had in providing assistance to veterans contemplating suicide. In addition to the focus on mental health, Secretary Scocos also provided an update to stakeholders in the veterans community as to WDVA programs and updates.
