Alexander R. Hess

Alexander R. Hess is a partner at West & Dunn. He has practiced civil litigation and business law since 2011, first at prominent firms in Chicago and, right before joining West & Dunn, at his own solo practice in Madison.

Alex prides himself on serving his clients by providing them with clear and candid guidance through all phases of their legal disputes and by deploying a flexible, creative approach to litigation strategy. He has obtained favorable judgments, awards, and settlements for his clients in a wide variety of lawsuits and arbitrations throughout the United States, primarily complex commercial disputes involving claims such as breach of contract, breach of warranty, rescission, securities fraud, common law fraud, indemnification, and negligence.

Alex was born and raised in Madison. He stayed close to home to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and cheer for his beloved Badgers, then moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University School of Law. Alex now lives in the Madison area with his wife and two young children.
